If you want to add an additional accounting basis to a master fund entity, use the Add a Basis to a Portfolio panel. See the Manage Accounting Bases page for details. You can also change master fund entity information. See theChange  Edit Master Fund Entities/Sectors page for details.

To manually create a master fund entity:

  1. From any Eagle window, click the Eagle Navigator button to access the Eagle Navigator.
  2. Enter Master Fund Setup in the Start Search text box.
  3. Click the Master Fund Setup link to access the panelDo one of the following: 
    - In Portfolio Data Center, in the left navigation pane, click Portfolio Desk Accounting Portfolio Setup > Mutual Funds Create Master Fund
    - In Accounting Center, in the left navigation pane, click Setup Portfolio Setup > Mutual Funds Create Master Fund.
    You see the Create Master Fund Setup panel.
  4. Complete the options on the Create Master Fund Setup panel. See the Create Master Fund Panel Options page for details.
  5. Add one or more share classes using the pane in the lower portion of the Create Master Fund Setup panel, as follows:
    –  Right-click the lower pane and select Add Rows.
    –  Enter the number of rows you want to add on the Enter Rows Count dialog box and click OK. You need to add a row for each additional share class you want to add to the fund.
  6. Click Submit.Close the Master Fund Setup bottom tab.
