You can test the newly created processing rule to validate that that it archives the expected number of exceptions in one of two ways: by testing the processing rule or submitting an event and checking its report. 

To test the processing rule: 

1. To test the Processing Rule to see how many records will be archived, navigate to the Processing Rule screen , edit your processing Automation Desk  by clicking Rules and selecting View.
2. From the list that displays, select the rule and then click Testright-click and select Edit.
   You see the Edit Processing Rules screen.
   Or
3. Click Test.

4. Alternatively, you can submit an event and check its report.
