This tutorial shows you how to publish a solution to an Eagle environment and make a test run as well. You may find this feature useful when you want to test minor changes in a solution.

How to Use the Debug Tool

The Debug Tool can be called by clicking Publish.

Publish button on toolbar

A window with options pops up(in our sample we use all options). This option available for MC workflows:

  1. Select file.
  2. Publish solution and Run.
  3. Run solution(if it was published earlier)

After clicking Run, the process of publishing the solution starts.
Eventually, a window with options for a test run pops up.

Scenarios of the Debug Tool Usage

1. If the project can be run by sending a control message (CM), there will be another Run form,This option available for EJM workflows. Select the CM Parameters tab. Here we can edit CM parameters :

2. If the project is run by sending a file into a specific stream, select the Data Files option, choose  the file. Click Run.

Tracking the Project Execution

After clicking Run, the Monitoring Tool application window will appear. Depending on its size, the project will be displayed in the process window either at once or after you click the Refresh button.
