The Migration Wizard allows you to migrate performance query tool reports from one environment to another.

A menu item called Migration is available in the Performance Query Tool, as shown in the following figure. Clicking this menu item allows you to use the Migration Wizard for migrating query report profiles between different environments.

Accessing Query Report Profiles

When you migrate the query report profiles, you become the owner of the profiles and you have access to them in the target environment. Since access granted to other users and business groups in the source environment is not migrated, you need to provide those users and business groups with access to the profiles in the target environment. As in other areas in PACE where the Migration Wizard is present, the owner of the migrated query report profiles can be changed using the change owner function during the migration process.

About Performance Models Not In Destination

The following procedure is the recommended workflow when migrating query report profiles:

  1. Verify that your performance models are set up in the target environment. If they are not set up there, then you should set them up before attempting to migrate the query report profiles. If you do not set up your performance models in the target environment and proceed to migrate the query report profiles, the Migration Wizard deletes the performance model levels and profile operations associated with the query report profile.
If the Migration Wizard detects that the performance model is not in the destination, you see a message that the performance model does not exist.
  2. Click Add to choose a performance model from the list.
  3. After selecting your performance model, the Migration Wizard allows you to set up levels (for example, entity, investment type, security currency code, security level) using the Performance Model Levels Selection dialog box.

  4. Click the Performance Model Detail button and select/clear any of the Selection check boxes in the Performance Model Details dialog box.

After migrating the query report profiles into the destination, you should go into the Performance Query Tool in Eagle Performance and edit the profiles, if necessary, and add any profile operations associated with the profiles that were deleted during migration.
