You can use IWS for EDS interfaces (EDS tool) to import a solution.

This page describes how to import a solution that is not open. If you already opened a solution, in the Solution tab you can click Import Solution. The Import box appears, as shown below. There is no difference between clicking the Import option on the EDS Tool starting page and clicking the Import Solution option from an already opened solution.

To import a solution:

  1. Launch IWS for EDS interfaces (EDS Tool). 
    You see the EDS starting page.

  2. In the left navigation pane, click Import.

  3. In the Selected MC Package File box, select the path to the MC package file by clicking  Open Select File Dialog.

    After you select the path, you see information about this package file.

  4. Click Next.
    In the Select files to be imported area, you see a list of files included in the package file you selected. You can preview files, and in case of any warnings detected, you see the  symbol next to its file name.

  5. To preview a file, select the file and then click the File Preview tab at the right side of the box. Or right-click the file, and then click File Preview.

  6. To see all the warnings for a file, select the file and then click the Warnings tab at the right side of the box. Or right-click the file, and then click Warnings.

  7. After you check the preview and warnings, if they exist, click Import when you are ready.
    The process of import starts.
