Data Table for Name Changes

Note

Name Change corporate action messages require Event Type (tag 55) set to ADMIN for message routing to the correct XML processing rule.

The following table describes the required and optional data fields for Name Changes.

1076 – Update Indicator	Required	CHAR	Y/N indicator used within message stream process. Valid values: Y = Update, N = New Record, and B = Both. Check for existing match. If found, update record; else insert.

1432 – XReference ID Type	Required	CHAR (30)	Security identifier type (CUSIP, ISIN, SEDOL) – Code Value
14 – XReference ID	Required	CHAR (100)	Security identifier.
4003 – Original Source		VARCHAR2 (15)	Original Source of the announcement.
1728 – Reason	Required	VARCHAR2 (50)	NAME CHANGE
65 – Ex Date	Required	DATE	Event ex date.
54 – Corporate Action Status	Required	VARCHAR2 (2)	Valid values: RD = Released PD = Pending IC = Incomplete
3961 – Corporate Action Sub Priority	Required	INTEGER	Defaults to 1. Priority used if there are multiple events on the same day.
1734 – Mandatory/Voluntary Indicator	Required	CHAR (2)	Defaults to M (Mandatory).
1711 – To Issue Name	Optional	VARCHAR2 (255)	New issue name of the security.
1699 – To Issue Description	Optional	VARCHAR2 (255)	New description of the security.
1952 – CUSIP	Optional	CHAR (100)	New CUSIP of the security.
1955 – ISIN	Optional	CHAR (100)	New ISIN of the security.
1958 – SEDOL	Optional	CHAR (100)	New SEDOL of the security.
1961 – TICKER	Optional	CHAR (100)	New Ticker of the security.
1197 – Sweep Date	Optional	DATE	Ability to override message stream logic for setting date.
1740 – Corporate Action Notes	Optional	VARCHAR2 (255)	Notes field.
