Eagle's User Administration allows you to manage access permissions and settings for all users of Reference Data Center.

To access the User Administration:

  1. From any Eagle window, click the Eagle Navigator button.
  2. Enter user administration in the Start Search text box and click the User Administration link. Or, click All Programs and select User Administration.
    You see the User Administration workspace. The workspace is the area of the User Administration window where data is displayed and edited.
  3. Click Users.
    You see the list of all available users.

To add a new user with Reference Data Center roles:

  1. From the User Administration workspace, click Users in the left navigation.
    You see the list of all available users.
  2. Click the Create New drop down and select Create New User.
    You see the Add New User Account dialog box.
  3.  Enter the user ID and full name for the new user, complete the appropriate account options, and click Next.
    NOTE: You can click Save at any time and return later to resume the process of adding this user.
    You see the Authentication dialog box.
  4.  Enter the appropriate authentication LDAP and password options and click Next.
    You see the Functional Access dialog box.
  5.  Enter the appropriate user access options:
    –  Select the Account Type tab and enter the type of user you wish to add.
    –  Select the Application Role tab and enter the application group for the new user.
    –  Select the Centers tab, click the Reference Data Center drop down in the left pane, and select the appropriate RDC options for the new user.
    –  Select the Roles tab and select the Reference Data Center role for the new user. Available default options include:
    • RDC Admin Role. Provides full permissions for the Setup and Data areas of the Reference Data Center.
    • RDC Analyst Role. Provides analyst specific permissions for the Setup and Data areas of the Reference Data Center and restricts maintenance of information and security detail authorization.
    • RDC End User Role. Provides view-only permissions for the Setup and Data areas of the Reference Data Center and restricts security data manipulation.
    • RDC Manager Role. Provides nearly full permissions for the Setup and Data areas of the Reference Data Center and restricts the maintenance of system settings.
  6. Click Next.
    You see the Data Access dialog box.
  7.  Click the Business Group drop down and select the appropriate group for access to Reference Data Center data.
  8.  Click Next.
    You see the Finish Page.
  9.  Review the user ID, full name, access level, application role, and business group information for the user you wish to add.
  10. Click Save to save the new user. Or, click Back to view/edit the previous dialog box.
    You see the refreshed list of all available users, including details about the Reference Data Center user you added. The user can now access the system.
