The Security Reference Manager (SRM) is used to analyze, validate and enhance security master data. SRM works with the Composite Security Engine to build and validate a security record from multiple
data sources, such as Bloomberg, IDC, and Reuters, and to provide you with the tools you need to identify and resolve validation errors.

You can use SRM to assign validation rules by investment type and to organize validation rules into release levels. You can associate release levels with business functions such as Trading, Middle Office, or Back Office, allowing security data to be partially released to specific user groups, such as downstream applications, before completing the validation process for the full security record.
