Manage the Dashboard Current View

In the Eagle Portal, you can customize how dashboard report results are displayed in the current dashboard view, create a new dashboard view, or send the information displayed in the dashboard view to the printer.

Access the Options for the Dashboard Current View

To access the options for the dashboard current view:

  1. From the Eagle Portal main window, run a dashboard report.

  2. Click the Current View drop down menu and select the appropriate options:
    –  New. Allows you to create a new dashboard view.
    –  Edit. Allows you to edit an existing dashboard view.
    –  Save As. Allows you to create a new dashboard view or copy and customize a shared dashboard view.
    –  Print. Allows you to print the information displayed in the current view.

Create a New Dashboard View

To create a new dashboard view:

  1. From the Eagle Portal main window, run a dashboard report.

  2. Click the Current View drop down menu and select New.
    You see the View window.

  3. Enter the name and description for the new dashboard view.

  4. If you are running a multilingual Eagle Portal, click the translations icon beside the fields to add a translation in the appropriate language.

  5. Click Edit Layout.
    You see the Page Layouts window.

  6. Click the button under the layout you wish to select for the new dashboard view and click OK.
    You see the View window in the layout you selected.

  7. From the Content pane on the left, drag the appropriate dashboard parts and drop them into the page layout.

  8. To remove a dashboard part from the page layout, click the X next to the dashboard part name.

  9. Click Save to create the new dashboard view.
    You see the dashboard view you created in My Dashboard Views area of the Views window.

Edit an Existing Dashboard View

To edit a dashboard view:

  1. From the Eagle Portal main window, run a dashboard report.

  2. Click the Current View drop down menu and select Edit.
    You see the View window.

  3. Change the and description of the dashboard view, as needed.

  4. If you are running a multilingual Eagle Portal, click the translations icon beside the fields to change the translation options, as needed.

  5. Click Edit Layout to change the layout of the view, if needed.
    You see the Page Layouts window.

  6. Click the button under the layout you wish to select and click OK.
    You see the View window in the layout you selected.

  7. From the Content pane on the left, drag the appropriate dashboard parts and drop them into the page layout.

  8. To remove a dashboard part from the page layout, click the X next to the dashboard part name.

  9. Click Save to save your changes to the dashboard view.

Copy a Dashboard View

To copy a dashboard view:

  1. From the Eagle Portal main window, run a dashboard report.

  2. Click the Current View drop down menu and select Save As.
    You see the Save Dashboard As dialog box.

  3. Enter the name and description for the new dashboard view and click Create.

  4. To access the new dashboard view you created, click the Manage drop down menu, select Views, and click to select the new view under My Dashboard Views.

Print a Dashboard View

To print the current dashboard view:

  1. From the Eagle Portal main window, run a dashboard view.

  2. Click the Current View drop down menu and select Print.

  3. Select the appropriate printer to print the current dashboard view.
