Define Metadata Manager Settings

In the Metadata Manager, you can define the window settings and how the data is displayed in the workspace. The workspace is the area in Metadata Manager windows where the data is displayed and edited.

The changes in the settings take effect the next time you log in to the Metadata Manager.

To define Metadata Manager settings:

  1. From any Metadata Manager window, click Settings.
    You see the Options dialog box.
  2. To set the Types window default view mode, click Grid or Carousel. The default is Grid.
  3. To control how the search pane is opened, click to check or uncheck the Autocollapse overall search pane check box. The default is unchecked.
  4. To set the maximum number of rows to display in the Items window, enter the number under the Maximum amount of rows to load on Items screen by default. The default is 500.
  5. To turn on tool tips that you may have disabled in the Search or Snapshot windows, click Reset disabled tooltips.
  6. To show a welcome page for the step-by-step wizard in the Snapshot window, click Restore wizards welcome page.
