Define Performance Report Options

In the Adding Group Level Model window's Filters/Mapping tab, you can configure additional options for performance fields.

To define performance report options:

  1. In Reporting Center, from the left navigation, select Reporting Tools > Datamart > Manage Marts > Data Mart.
You see the Data Mart workspace.

  2. Click the Add Group Level Model link.
You see the Adding Group Level Model window with the Definition tab enabled.

  3. Complete the fields on the Definition tab and click Next.
    You see the Grouping tab.

  4. Complete the fields on the Grouping tab and click Next.
    You see the Fields tab.

  5. Complete the fields on the Fields tab and click Next.
You see the Field Schedules tab.

  6. Complete the fields on the Field Schedules tab and click Next.
    You see the Filters/Mapping tab.

  7. Click Performance Report Options in the Other column.
You see the Attribution Statistics pop-up window.

  8. Click Selected level to calculate attribution and display results down to option to specify the lowest level at which you want to calculate performance data, including attribution statistics, using the Lowest Attribution Calculation Level dropdown list.
If you limit results in the Group model above the security level, you cannot map performance detail data to your groups. Data Mart populates the map table from details to groups when it populates the group table. If the OLAP report that underlies the group's data fields does not have a security (detail) level, this mapping cannot take place. A group model should omit the security level at most. In the Fund Summary model, you can limit levels below the entity (fund) level unless you report attribution data where you plan to roll up contributions from lower levels to the fund level.

  9. Click Limit results to the level selected above option to display results above the selected level.

  10. Click Show attribution results below selected level option to display attribution results below the selected level.

  11. Click Suppress benchmark data not held by the profile portfolio option to suppress benchmark data.
The Dynamic Performance and Entity Hierarchy options do not apply to Data Mart. You do not have to configure them.

  12. Click Select the type of security returns to process option to store the Performance data based on the Strategy option.

  13. Click Partial Period Assignments to calculate and store the values of the security under all the sectors that are held by the security for that period.

  14. Click Next to display the Fund (Entities) tab.

  15. Complete the fields on the Fund (Entities) tab and click Next.

  16. Follow the prompts to complete the required configuration to save the Group Model. See Create Group Models for more details.
