Cancel Distribution Adjustments

In the Cancel Distribution Adjustment panel, you can cancel one or more distribution adjustments. You can cancel adjustments for periodic distributions, set rate distributions, net investment income (NII) distributions, and preferred share distributions.

If you cancel an NII distribution adjustment associated with a bleed, be aware that the system cancels all bleeds associated with the adjustment. You cannot cancel bleed rows and they do not display in the query results. You must cancel the adjustment generating the bleed rows.

To post a distribution adjustment:

  1. In Accounting Center, in the left navigation pane, click Fund Accounting > Distributions > Distribution Adjustments > Cancel Distribution Adjustment.
You see the Cancel Distribution Adjustment panel.

  2. In the Entity Name and Entity ID fields, select the master fund associated with the adjustment you are canceling.

  3. In the Distribution Category list, click the type of distribution adjustment you are canceling.
    Options include:
    - Periodic. Periodic distribution.
    - NII. Net investment income distribution.
    - Set. Set rate distribution.
    - Preferred. Preferred shares distribution.

  4. If you selected a Periodic, NII, or Set distribution category, in the Share Class field, select the share class that you want to adjust.
Otherwise, if you selected a Preferred distribution category, the Share Class field displays a value of TF for Total Fund.

  5. If you selected a Preferred distribution category, in the Share Series field, specify the share series code value that you want to adjust.
You see the corresponding share series code name in the Share Series Name field.

  6. In the Date Type list, select Accounting Date, the default value, or Effective Date to indicate the type of date range to use.

  7. In the Begin Date and End Date fields, specify the starting date and ending date for the distribution adjustments you want to cancel.

  8. Click Submit.
You see a list of the distribution adjustments that met your criteria in the Show All tab.

  9. Select the check box for each distribution adjustment row you want to cancel and click Cancel Distribution Adjustment.
In the Cancel Distribution Adjustment panel, you see a row for each distribution adjustment you selected for cancellation.

  10. Change the value of the Cxl Accounting Date field to modify the cancel accounting date for each row as needed.
All other fields are locked and you cannot make changes.

  11. Click Submit.
The system cancels the selected distribution adjustments.Â
