Manage the Delta Trigger Log

When you transfer accounting data using the Delta mode, the system accesses the ESTAR database, using records in the SPD_DELTA_TRIGGER LOG table to determine which positions to update. The Delta process checks the Delta Trigger log to determine whether a position has changed due to a cost, cash, or income transaction. If there is anything new to transfer, the Delta process pulls the data and pushes it from STAR to PACE. The system also updates the SPD_DELTA_TRIGGER_LOG_HIST table. This table provides an audit trail of the data transfer. You can query the Delta Trigger logs for information on the status and the number of transactions involved in the S2P Delta process. You can also rebuild the Delta Trigger Log.

You must regularly purge the SPD_DELTA_TRIGGER_LOG table to keep the Delta process running efficiently, but it is not a requirement to purge the SPD_DELTA_TRIGGER_LOG_HIST table. Contact your Relationship Manager for recommendations about scheduling and operating STAR to PACE Direct table purges for your installation.
