Eagle provides a comprehensive set of queries to help you manage and configure your system as well as diagnose and resolve issues. You can create additional custom system queries to suit the specific requirements of your business. Individual queries can be run ad hoc or you can create a schedule to run a group of queries at a specific date and time.

Note

To quickly select and run a specific type of query, you can use predefined keywords.

To select and run system queries:

  1. In System Management Center, click Diagnostics in the left navigation and click Queries.
You see a list of all the available system queries.
  2. Enter a keyword for the Query Name in the filter text box, for example, enter alert.
You see a list of available system queries based on the keyword.
  3. Click the query you wish to run and click Run. To run the query and distribute the reports to a designated location, click Run and Deliver, enter the information in the Eagle Toolkit Ad Hoc Schedule Properties dialog box and click OK.
  4. To run a group of queries, click Groups in the left navigation, click the group you wish to run and click Run. To run the group and distribute the reports to a designated location, click Run and Deliver, enter the information in the Eagle Toolkit Ad Hoc Schedule Properties dialog box and click OK.
  5. Enter any required parameters in the Define Query Parameters dialog box and click OK.
You see the query reports based on the parameters you entered. For example, you see the results for the TEST NG query.

    Note

If you clicked Run and Deliver, query reports are sent directly to the destination you specified and are not displayed.

If you ran a group of queries, you can review the report for each query in the group by clicking the query name in the middle pane. For example, click Oracle - IO Efficiency to see the results for this query.

6. To customize how the report information is displayed, click the Print button drop down to print, or click the Export button drop down and select the file type to export query reports.

7. To return to the Queries workspace, click the Queries bottom tab. To return to the Groups workspace, click the Groups bottom tab.
