In the Adding Group Level Model's Grouping tab, you can add a group to the Group Model.

To add a group:

  1. In Reporting Center, from the left navigation, select Reporting Tools > Datamart > Manage Marts > Data Mart.
    You see the Data Mart workspace.
  2. Click Add Group Level Model link.
    You see the Adding Group Level Model window appears with the Definition tab enabled.
  3. Complete the fields on the Definition tab and click Next.
    You see the Grouping tab.
  4. On the Grouping tab, click Add.
    You see the Group Selector dialog box.
  5. Under Simple Type section, select a group type. Options include:
    - Simple Fields. Displays a list of character based fields. You can add any number of simple fields.
    - Range Rules. Displays data based on different ranges of a particular field, such as a numeric or date based field. You can add more than one range rule. However, the field type of the second range rule must be the same non-generic or generic type. Range rules do not support Performance fields.
    - Dictionaries. Displays Regular and Performance dictionaries. Regular dictionaries categorize information into groups, which you define in PACE. You can only add one regular dictionary. Performance dictionaries commit performance returns to the PERFORM database. You can only add one performance dictionary.
    - Filters. Displays filters that you select to build groupings of general ledger categories to report ledger data. Note that filters are not supported for other types of data.
  6. Use Search box to search for a specific field, range rule, or dictionary.
  7. Click Maintain Fields to provide access to the field attributes pop-up window where you can create, copy, view or edit field attributes.
  8. The Details section to display details on the selected field, range rule, or dictionary in the Group Selector dialog box.
  9. After configuring the required options in the Group Selector Dialog box, click OK.
    You return to the Grouping tab.
  10. In Database Column Name, assign a database column name for each grouping level.
    You can only add a single dictionary group. However, you can add an unlimited number of simple fields or range rules.
  11. Click Add to add additional groups.
  12. To remove a group, select the group you want to remove under Levels on the Grouping tab, and click Remove.
  13. Click Next to display the Fields tab.
  14. Complete the fields on the Fields tab and click Next.
  15. Follow the prompts to complete the required configuration to save the Group Model. See Create Group Models for more details.
