Eagle's system parameters control how DB Users functionality is enabled and used.

Enable DB Users via Sys Item 239

To enable the DB Users functionality, set Eagle's system parameter Sys Item 239 (Database Users screen visibility in User Administration Center) to 1.

If you have administrative permissions, you can use User Administration Center roles to specifically grant access to any or all of the following functionality: View DB Users, Create DB Users, Edit DB Users, Lock/Unlock DB Users, and Delete DB Users

Control Environment Access via Sys Item 201

You can also use Sys Item 201 (DEV, TEST, PROD) to allow different access based on the type of environment. Depending on the type of environment, the system will display code values of one of these three categories as allowed roles: DB_USER_DEV, DB_USER_QA, or DB_USER_PROD. New DB Users are now assigned to predefined DB Roles which are selected according to Sys Item 201. Additionally, the EA_PROFILE profile is now applied when a new DB user is created.  ?? is this correct?

For DEV environments only (Sys Item 201=DEV), you can also use the proxy feature (Add Write Permissions and Remove Write Permissions) to connect to the database with access as either as an ESTAR or PACE_MASTERDBO user. The Add Write Permissions command on the ribbon will grant this type of access and the Remove Write Permissions command will remove this access.
