In the Setup workspace you can create, edit, duplicate and delete code maps.

Create a New Code Map

To create a new code map:

  1. In the Setup workspace, in the left navigation, click Codes.
    You see the Codes workspace with the list of available code categories.
  2. Click the Code Maps tab and then click Create New.
    You see the Create New Code Map window.
  3. In the Code Map Name box, enter a name for the code map.
  4. In the Source Tag box, enter a source tag. This is the code value tag in your result query that you want to translate to long description
  5. Enter a Destination tag.This is the tag that contains the translated value. This tag can be the same as the Source Tag (replaces the source Short Description with the translated Long Description) for the given tag's code value. You may opt to keep both values so that the Destination tag can be a different tag than the Source Tag.
  6. Select a Code Category Name from the drop-down list.
  7. Select a Code Category Description from the drop-down list.

    Note

     Selecting the Code Category Name field will prompt the system to automatically populate the Description field. Because the Code Category and Code category Description fields are interdependent, changes to one field will result in a change to the other.

  8. Select a Source Name from the drop-down list. This is the source of the code category.
  9. Click Save.
    You see the new code map displayed in the list of code maps.


Edit Code Maps

To edit code maps:

  1. In the Setup workspace, in the left navigation, click Codes.
    You see the Codes workspace with the list of available code categories.
  2. Select the code map you would like to edit and then from ribbon, select Edit.
    You see the Edit Code Map window.
  3. Enter a Destination tag.
  4. Select a Code Category Name from the drop-down list or by clicking on to use Advanced Search.
  5. Select a Code Category Description from the drop-down list.
  6. Select a Source Name from the drop-down list.
  7. Click Save.
    You see the revised code map displayed in the list of code maps.


Duplicate Code Maps

To duplicate code maps:

  1. In the Setup workspace, in the left navigation, click Codes.
    You see the Codes workspace with the list of available code categories.
  2. Select the code map you would like to edit and then from ribbon, select Duplicate.
    You see the Duplicate Code Map window.
  3. Update the fields following the steps outlined in Create a New Code Map.
  4. Click Save.
    You see the duplicate code map displayed in the list of code maps.

Delete Code Maps

To delete code maps:

  1. In the Setup workspace, in the left navigation, click Codes.
    You see the Codes workspace with the list of available code categories.
  2. Select the code map you would like to delete and then from the ribbon, select Delete.
    You see a confirmation box asking you to verify your selection.
  3. From the Delete Type drop-down select one of the following options:
    –  Single TAG
    –  All TAGS
  4. Click Ok.
    The code map is deleted from the system.
