  • Store Cash Positions in PACE (tag 5563)
  • Value at Cost – No Price Found (tag 11454)

These fields are stored in the ENTITY_ACCT_BASIS table for the primary accounting basis. For any secondary accounting basis, you must set similar parameters.

Option

Description

Core Accounting Fields

Short Term Price Method

Specifies how Eagle STAR prices short term debt instruments. Options include:

  • Market (Default). Eagle STAR prices the short term debt instruments using market prices rather than the amortized cost of the securities. Unrealized gain/loss entries are created.
  • Cost. Eagle STAR prices the short term debt instruments based on the amortized cost of the securities. No unrealized gain/loss entries are created. You must select a value of Cost if you are processing short term discount accruals. If you select Cost, the Price Level field unhides for data entry with the default value equal 1.
Note: Eagle STAR identifies a short term fixed income security if the period from Issue Date to Maturity Date is less than or equal to 365 days; it does not do so by Processing Security Type.

S2P Direct Interface Fields

Delta Process Flag

Determines whether STAR to PACE Direct automatically updates accounting data in Eagle PACE when it changes in Eagle STAR per Scheduler settings. Options include:

  • Yes. Invoke the STAR to PACE Direct process any time a change takes place on a position.
  • No (Default). Do not invoke the STAR to PACE Direct process any time a change takes place on a position.

Income Delta Process Flag
DO NOT USE

This field is not in use. This functionality has been retired. Contact your Relationship Manager for information about processing income to meet your requirements.

Create Performance Cash Flows in PACE

Determines whether STAR to PACE Direct transfers cash flow information to Eagle PACE to calculate performance values. Options include:

  • Yes. STAR to PACE Direct provides cash flow information to support Eagle Performance. Select this value for all entities.
  • No (Default). STAR to PACE Direct does not provide cash flow information, and thus does not support Eagle Performance. Select this value if you do not use Eagle Performance.

Store Cash Positions in PACE

Determines whether STAR to PACE Direct generates cash balances for storage in Eagle PACE. Options include:

  • Yes. STAR to PACE Direct stores cash balances in the Position Detail table. Select this value for all entities.
  • No (Default). STAR to PACE Direct does not store cash balances in the Position Detail table. If you do not need currency balances, select this value to improve efficiency.

Value at Cost – No Price Found

Controls the population of the market value fields in Eagle PACE. Options include:

  • Yes. STAR to PACE Direct defaults the amortized cost into the market value fields in the Position Detail and Lot Level Position tables in Eagle PACE when no price is available. This functionality is not relevant for use with futures contracts.
  • No. STAR to PACE Direct does not default the amortized cost when no price available.
Note: If you set the Price Date Switch field (tag 9981) to Recent on the Transfer Data Batch panel, the system uses any recent price before pricing the asset at cost. If no price is found, the Market Value defaults to zero.

Process Center Fields

Process Center

Specify the Process Center for this entity, if applicable. Grouping entities together operates certain global processes more efficiently. The Process Center values are user defined.
Note: You can use the Create Process Center Location panel to create process centers.
