WRITESRS NOTE: MIkeO should review. Sampling option is 2017 R1 document search criteria if time permits. expand per V8 Ops Tools guide if time permits.
WRITESRS NOTE: for message streams, Message Streams workspace shows all message streams, while you use Monitor to view only scheduled message streams. Is there any difference to types of loopbacks you view in Acct Ctr vs. Automation ctr?

In the Accounting Desk's Global Process workspace, you can monitor the loopbacks associated with global process events. You can also monitor loopbacks using Automation Desk's Monitor workspace.

About Loopbacks

From the Accounting Center's Global Process workspace, you can monitor the status of loopbacks. You can monitor the status of event loopbacks in the Global Process workspace or the Monitor workspace. Accounting Desk's Global Process workspace in Accounting Center is similar to Automation Desk's Monitor workspace in Automation Center. But while the Monitor workspace shows activity for loopbacks, message streams, and jobs/events, the results in the Global Process workspace are filtered to show the status of loopbacks for global jobs.

In Eagle Accounting, global process events generate secondary events known as loopbacks. For example, when it processes a corporate action, the system first performs a query to determine which entities and securities are eligible for a given corporate action process based on the date range you entered. The query is considered the initial event. The secondary event, or loopback, is the actual processing of the corporate action based on the query results from the initial event.

Each time a loopback is created, the accounting engine writes a record to the ESTAR_LOOPBACK_EVENTS table. When the engine is finished processing the loopback, the record is updated. The Global Process workspace looks to this table to determine whether the engine has finished processing an event.

  2. If you want to view loopback details in a separate workspace, click

Each time you open the Global Process workspace, the system executes the default queries for the summary totals, loopbacks, and loopback details and displays the results. You can query and review processed or pending jobs.
