In the Inflation Linked Bond panel, you can manually book an open (buy or short sell) and close (sell or buy to cover) trade for an ILB (inflation linked bond). ILBs, also known as treasury inflation protected securities (TIPS) in the United States, Real Return Bonds (RRBs) in Canada, Treasury Gilts or Treasury Stocks in the United Kingdom, or as generic inflation indexed bonds and linkers, are debt instruments whose principal and subsequent interest payments are adjusted based on the rise of inflation.
This article assumes you are familiar with the entity and security level elections that have been made for processing an ILB security.
