The EagleEye Analysis file is an XML file that automatically opens in Microsoft Excel. The Excel file is made up of 4 types of worksheets: Report, Business Calendar, FX Rates, and Field sheets that are named for their respective fields.

Report Sheet

The Report Sheet is a replica of your Composite Analysis results, and is sorted and grouped the same way as the normal Composite Analysis report. See the following figure. The column headers of the Report Sheet have links that take you to the top of the Field Parameters section of each field sheet. The results also have links to take you to the Inputs section of each field sheet, which contains the underlying data of that particular field and node.

Microsoft Excel Report Sheet

Business Calendar Sheet

The Business Calendar sheet consists of the Eagle PACE Business Calendar (always source 4) for the maximum time range of the report. See the following figure. This Business Calendar sheet shows the data source with a title of Source then lists the data under a heading of Business Days. The format is the same as in PACE Business Calendar with Effective Date, Daily Flag, Weekly Flag, Monthly Flag, Quarterly Flag, and Year End Flag. Cells show a Y (for Yes) where the flag is in effect on that business day; otherwise, cells are blank.

FX Rates Sheet

The FX Rates sheet displays the currency conversion parameters and entity base currency values used. It also displays errors and warnings generated and inputs used for the report. See the following figure.

The following table describes each section in the FX Rates sheet.

Section

Description

Currency Conversion Parameters

Displays the parameters and sources related to currency conversion used when you ran the Composite Analysis report profile. If you run the report run in Submit with Override mode, these values are from the override, not the underlying profile.

Entity Base Currency

Displays the base currency for all entities (composite and constituents) used in the calculations on the report.

Errors and Warnings

Displays any FX related error messages or warning messages.

Inputs

Displays all the FX rates used by the report sorted by From Security, To Security, and Effective Date.

Field Sheets

Each field in your EagleEye Analysis has a unique field sheet. Each field sheet consists of five sections:

  • Report Parameters
  • Field Parameters
  • Analysis Highlights
  • Errors and Warnings
  • Inputs

EagleEye Analysis works for Composite Performance Analysis field types. A breakdown of the field worksheet by each of its five sections follows.

Report Parameters Section

The Report Parameters section displays all parameters of the Composite Analysis report. See the following figure.

Field Parameters Section

The Field Parameters section displays all the parameters for the specified Composite Performance Analysis field. See the following figure. The title cell links back to the corresponding Composite Performance Analysis field column header in the Report Sheet.

Analysis Highlights Section

The Analysis Highlights section displays the highest and lowest five input values at any node, as well any null values for all the input fields. See the following figure. For the highest and lowest five values, the actual value displays while for the null values, the effective date displays.

All the Highlights have links to the actual value within the Inputs section. EagleEye Analysis bases both the Analysis Highlights section and the Inputs section on the underlying constituent data used to calculate the field results.

If ALL columns are null on a particular effective date, the report does not show these effective dates in the Null Values section of the Analysis Highlights section.

Errors and Warnings Section

The Errors and Warnings section displays any errors produced during the generation of that field's results. See the following figure.

Inputs Section

The Inputs section displays all data values used in the generation of the report results for the Composite Performance Analysis field. See the following figure. The Inputs section contains the columns: Group, Rollup Returns ID, Security Alias, End Effective Date, Source, Frequency, Status (Preliminary or Final), and the input columns specified in the Field Parameters section.
The system presents the data in the order in which it processes the data. The Inputs section displays the underlying constituent data used to calculate the field results.

If ALL columns are null on a particular effective date, the report does not show any rows or data in the Inputs section for that effective date.
