The dynamic mutual fund performance fields are hard coded to use a theoretical $1,000 initial investment. This was done to conform to methodologies set forth by the SEC. PACE allows users to optionally override that value (the initial investment) in any dynamic performance field.

This feature is optional and may be useful to clients that build their own advanced reports. For example, the ability to override the initial investment would allow audit logging fields to be based on a $10,000 investment. Therefore, the daily market values logged to the audit tables would reflect that investment and could be used to feed a custom Growth of $10,000 report.

It is important to note that at this time, PACE supports the application of a maximum applicable load (per SEC methodology). This override feature does not imply support for tiered front end loads in the return calculation.
