Allocate Cash for Carve Out

You can create a Performance calculation report profile to allocate Cash for Carved out segment from Parent Portfolio.

To allocate cash for carve out:

1. Create a Subportfolio (SUB) with translation criteria for particular Segment and 'Cash and Cash Equivalents' from parent portfolio.
2. Assign the same parent portfolio as a benchmark to the SUB created in step #1.
3. Determine the percentage of the parent portfolio that the SubPortfolio represents using a Rollup Calculation field.
4. Use Detail Calculation field to change the weights of the cash securities.
5. Reweight everything else accordingly.
6. Rolls that up to a total return for the sub portfolio using the new weight.
7. Another, special configurations are required at field level to implement the cash allocations and calculate the Carve out returns
   Holdings’ Position Detail regular fields (security level) for both Portfolio and Benchmark needs to be configured pointing to 'User Defined' in the Field Indicator.
   Holdings’ Position regular field (Total level) for Portfolio needs to be configured pointing to 'User Defined' in the field Indicator
   Holdings’ Position regular field (Total level) for Benchmark needs to be configured pointing to 'Holdings' in the field Indicator
8. Refer the screenshots for the field configuration, which is unique at benchmark total level field and other fields of portfolio market values.
