In the Legal Entity workspace, you can create and delete legal entities. Here you can specify industry sector information, GISC industry information, primary and credit analyst and any cross reference values generated by the enrichment. You can also establish relationship information for the legal entity by indicating the ultimate parent, acquired by a parent or counterparty.

To create a legal entity:

  1. From the Reference Data Center workspace, click Legal Entities in the left navigation.
    You see the Legal Entity workspace with all the available detail data.
  2. Click Create New.
    You see the Create New dialog box.
  3. Click the Data Strategy drop-down to select a data strategy and then click OK.
    Options include:
    Legal Entity (US)
    Legal Entity (Non US)
    You see the legal entity fields assigned by the data strategy.

  4. Complete the options on the Create New Legal Entity panel.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Click Refresh Screen.
    You see the new legal entity in the Legal Entities workspace.

Legal Entity Information

Contains fields for entering issuer ID and name of the legal entity.

Legal Entity Xreference

Displays the cross reference value generated by the enrichment.

General Information

This section contains fields for entering address information, country of exposure, and country of  incorporation currency, company ticker, and indicating if the legal entity is an ultimate parent, acquired by a parent or a counterparty.

Legal Entity Classification

Displays industry sector information.

Additional Legal Entity Information

Displays the primary analyst and credit analyst.

GICS Industry Information

This section contains fields for selecting the GICS sector, industry group, industry, and sub-industry.
