Solution Tab

At the top of the window in Solution tab you can use:

  • Manage section that allows to Create New solution (current solution will be automatically closed – you will be prompted to save and close it), Open existing solution (current solution will be automatically closed), Save solution, Close current solution;
  • Distribution section that allows to Publish Solution to region, Export Solution, Import Solution – import another solution from your local machine with a MC package file;
  • Debug section that allows to Test Solution – test current solution and Preview json definition of current interface. Unlike in IWS, you can test solution without publishing it.

Worksheet Tab

In the Worksheet tab:

  • General section – with Save current solution button, Run Test button, Sub Items button which toggles a switch from Taxonomy mapping to Source designer and back at the center of worksheet;
  • Actions section – allows to Undo and Redo actions;
  • Clipboard – standard buttons Cut, Copy and Paste;
  • View – contains Preview Export, Settings (in development) and Disable Auto Scroll.

The content and functionality of Shape and Grid sections are context-sensitive and depend on currently selected object – Main Object, Mashup, Vocabulary or Taxonomy.

Main Object

When you click on main dataset, the Toolbar switches to Shape and Grid sections:

  • Shape – contain pins, that allow to pin and unpin main dataset from different locations on the canvas, and Refresh definition button for the main object;
  • Grid – buttons are disabled for main object and are displayed in gray. Select all rows, Copy grid to clipboard and Copy grid to clipboard (excel) become active if you select any field in the main object.

Vocabulary

Shape and Grid sections (click on Vocabulary):

When you click on Vocabulary, the Toolbar switches to Shape and Grid sections:

  • Shape – contain pins, which allow as to pin and unpin vocabulary from different locations on canvas, and Properties button – in development atm;
  • Grid – buttons are disabled for main object and are displayed in gray. They become active if you select any field in the Vocabulary object.

Source Mashup and Simple Mashup

When you click on source mashup in Source Designer canvas, the Toolbar switches to Shape and Grid sections:

  • Shape – contains pins, that allow to pin and unpin the dataset from different locations on the canvas, and Refresh definition button for source mashup object, Rename mashup dataset button and To inline, which is not available for source designer canvas;
  • Grid – buttons in gray are disabled for current object. Select all rows, Copy grid to clipboard and Copy grid to clipboard (excel) become active if you select any field in the main object.

Taxonomy Mapping

When you click on Taxonomy Mapping, the Toolbar switches to Shape and Grid sections:

  • Shape – contains pins, which allow to pin and unpin Taxonomy from different locations on the canvas;
  • Grid – buttons in gray are disabled for Taxonomy object. Select any field you mapped into Taxonomy mapping and to activate them.
