The Portfolios not in Composites report displays entities that are not a member of at least one composite over the user defined date range or as of a specific date. See the following figure.
The report includes columns for Entity ID and Entity Name, and allows you to add additional columns. For general information about running and using the report, see Use the Composite Monitor.
The following table describes the report parameters you can select.
Date Range | You can submit the report for a user defined date range or as of a specific date. Options include: - As of. This option allows you to identify the entities that are not included in a composite as of a specific effective date.
- Between. This option supports any date to any date so you can view the entities that were not a member of at least one composite for the entire date range. For example, assume you select the date range of 1/1/2008 - 3/31/2008 and:
- PORT1 has a Start Date of 2/1/2008
- PORT2 has a Start Date of 7/1/1980 and a Stop Date record for 3/31/2008
- PORT 3 has a Start Date of 1/1/1979
The report results display PORT1 because it was the only entity that was not a member of a composite from 1/1/2008 - 3/31/2008. - From the Date Rule. You can further customize the date by using a Date Range rule.
|
Entities | The Entity Selector allows you to run the report for specific entities, a list of entities, or all entities (by leaving the selector empty). Note that if you leave the Entity Selector empty to run the report for all entities, be aware that the report returns all entities (not just PORT-type entities) that are a member of at least one composite. |
Fields | You can use the Field Selection dialog box to add additional fields as report columns and change the order of report columns. The report can include entity, entity characteristics, entity extension fields, entity range details, performance, and holdings fields for the selected entities. The Field Selection dialog box identifies default fields with a blue field icon. |
Filters | This option allows you to set a rule that reduces the results to only the entities that meet the criteria within the rule. You can use the Filter option during the initial report setup or during the Resubmit process. For example, you can limit the report to show only entities that have their ENTITY_TYPE set to PORT by creating a filter that uses the criteria: eglEnt-EntityType = PORT |
Source Rule | This option limits the report results to entities with the specified source. By default, the source selected using the Configure link initially appears. |
