An option in the Composite Analysis report profile tells the system whether or not to calculate Composite Statistics. It is applied to all statistic fields in the field rule.

The decision to calculate Composite Statistics or not is based on the appropriate data in the PERFORM database.

Composite Analysis Profile

The dialog in the previous figure allows you to view composite results on a preliminary basis, even though the member entities may not all be calculated and stored in the database. This is why the option is set in the Profile and not at the field level. You can have one report rule that can be used for both preliminary and final viewing of the Composite performance data. The options are:

  • Option a. Calculate if missing data. If you select this option and data is missing, the statistic is calculated, if possible, based on the rules outlined in the following section.
  • Option b. Do not calculate if missing data. This option is checked in the profile by default. If you select this option and data is missing, the statistic is not calculated, based on the rules and it returns an N/A as the result.
