In the Equity/Mutual Fund panel, you can manually book an open (buy and sell) and close (sell and buy to cover) trade for the following types of equity securities:
■ Common stock
■ Preferred stock
■ PIK (payment in kind) preferred stock
This article assumes you are familiar with the entity and security level elections that have been made for processing an equity security.
