In the Transfer FAS 161 Average Volume Data - Batch panel, you can preprocess report data used by the FAS 161 Average Volume report. This global process populates the FAS161_AVG_VOL table to improve report performance, Use of preprocess enables the FAS 161 Average Volume report to only perform calculations, such as the aggregate and average calculations, by using the data from the FAS161_AVG_VOL table. The FAS 161 Average Volume report returns a volume of derivative activity across a user-provided date range, namely daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly or any user-defined date range as allowed.
You can run the preprocess manually using the Transfer FAS 161 Average Volume Data - Batch panel, or schedule the preprocess to run automatically on a regular basis. The first time you use the preprocess, the initial process can take some time. Running the preprocess periodically enhances the performance of the FAS 161 Average Volume report.
To generate FAS 161 Average Volume report data:
- In Accounting Center, in the left navigation pane, click Processing & Exceptions > Global Processes > FAS 161 Average Volume > Transfer FAS 161 Average Volume Data - Batch.

- Click Submit.
