You select a report profile when you create the Performance Calculation report. The report profile defines the entities, effective dates, scheduling, distribution, and performance options, such as periodicity, and weighting. There are several types of Performance Calculation report profiles. A description of each type follows.

Performance Returns Report Profile

The Performance Returns report profile allows you to:

  • Calculate and store single-period returns for portfolios based on holdings and cash activity. This guide provides information on calculating single-period returns for portfolios.
  • Calculate aggregate method returns for GIPS composites. SeeĀ GIPS Composite Management User Guide for information on calculating single-period aggregate method composite returns.
  • Calculate and store single-period returns, durations, and weights for standard benchmarks. See the Benchmark Management User Guide for information on calculating single-period returns for custom and standard benchmarks.

Composite Weighted Returns Report Profile

The Composite Weighted Returns report profile allows you to calculate asset weighted returns for composites. See the GIPS Composite Management User Guide for information on calculating single-period asset weighted composite returns.

Dynamic NAV Returns Report Profile

The Dynamic NAV Returns report profile allows you to calculate and store single-period returns based on NAVs and distribution data. See the Retail Fund Performance User Guide for information on calculating single-period returns for mutual funds, offshore funds, and unit trusts.
