To create an EDS Interface solution:

  1. Open IWS for EDS interfaces (EDS Tool).
    You see the EDS starting page.
  2. To create a new interface, in the left navigation pane, click New.
    You see the Choose a type for your new item page.

  3. Under Eagle Data Service, click EDS Interface.
    You see the Create New EDS Interface section, with the list of available data objects. In this list, you will choose the data object to use as the main object for extract in your interface – you cannot change it after creation.
    Later you only can add mashups to this interface.

  4. You can click the following icons at the top of the page:
    Refresh ListRefresh List. Allows you to refresh the list of available data objects,
    Rows View 
    Rows View. Changes the view to show a row for each data object.
    Tile View 
    Tile View. Changes the view to show a tile for each data object.
    Large Icons View 
    Large Icons View. Changes the view to show a large icon for each data object. 
    Filter Items By Category 
    Filter Items by Category. Allows you to filter items by Category (Vendor, Core, or Custom).
  5. Select the main data object for your interface, enter a name for it in the Name box, and then click Create.

    You see the EDS Worksheet. 
  6. Proceed to one of the following pages depending on the kind of interface you want to create:
