Linked data strategies are used to automatically create underlying securities. For example, creating a synthetic cash security when creating an option, future, or single-leg swap that will use Eagle Enrichment for exposure reporting. For more information, see Synthetic Cash Securitization.
Linked data strategies are available in the Reference Data Center package content for all securities with standard Eagle Enrichment rules. You can also create new linked data strategies using the Create New Linked Data Strategy wizard. Here you will define the new data strategy, link the primary data strategy to the linked data strategy, and select common fields between the primary and linked data strategies.
- In the Setup workspace, in the left navigation pane, select Data Strategies.
You see the Data Strategies workspace. - Click the Linked Data Strategies tab.
- From the toolbar, click Create New.
You see the Linked Data Strategies wizard. The Define tab defaults .
Define the Linked Data Strategy
- Enter a Name for the linked data strategy.
- Enter a Description for the linked data strategy. (Optional).
- Under Linked Data Strategy, select the Primary Data Strategy and the Linked Data Strategy from the drop-down list.
- Select the Link Type from the drop-down list.
- Ensure that the Enabled checkbox has been selected.
- Click Next.
Link the Common Fields
- In the Fields tab, select the fields you want to link from the Primary data strategy to the Linked data strategy.
- After you have made your selections, click Save Save & Close.
The newly created linked data strategy appears in the Linked Data Strategy workspace.
Edit a Linked Data Strategy
You can edit a Linked Data Strategy.
- In the Setup left navigation pane, select Data Strategies.
You see the Data Strategies workspace. - Click the Linked Data Strategies tab.
The Data Strategy workspace displays. - From the list of linked data strategies, select the data strategy to edit and from the right-click menu, select Edit.
You see the Edit Linked Data Strategies wizard. - Edit the linked data strategy following the steps in the Create a Data Strategy procedure.
- After completing your edits, click Save & Close.
The newly edited linked data strategy appears in the Linked Data Strategy workspace.
Delete a Linked Data Strategy
- In the Setup left navigation pane, select Data Strategies.
You see the Data Strategies workspace. - Click the Linked Data Strategies tab.
The Data Strategy workspace displays. - From the list of linked data strategies, select the data strategy to delete and from the right-click menu, select Delete.
The system asks you to confirm your selection. - Click Yes.
The linked data strategy has been deleted.
