The exception status specifies the severity of exceptions for the entity. The display options include:
Orange triangle (Warning): Indicates you that there is at least one error of severity level warning
Red square (Critical Error): Indicates you that there is at least one error prevents the field from being released.
The Exception title bar displays the count of pending authorization, if any and also indicates the release status of the entity. The Exception pane displays the outstanding exceptions and pending authorization in-detail for the checked-out entity in grid format. You can click on an exception record in the Exceptions pane to go to the corresponding field in the Entity Details pane.
The Entity Details workspace contains links to all tab types included in the selected entity policy. By default, all entities contain a Details tab. Packaged content for most policies will also have tabs for Benchmark, Peer Group Association, and Disclosures based on the mapped policy.
Certain polices include additional core tabs depending on the entity type for that policy.
Policy Type | Specific core tab for that policy |
List | List tab for defining the list of portfolios (static or dynamic) |
Sub-Portfolio | Sub-Portfolio for defining the list of portfolios with entity build details |
Composite | Composite tab for defining the list of portfolios with entity build details |
Aggregate | GIPS Composite tab for defining the composite for performance |
Custom Index | Blended Weighted Index for defining the custom blend of multiple indices for performance |
The Entity Details pane displays the field values for the checked-out entity. The fields are displayed based on the field groups configured within the policy that governs the entity. By default, you can see two effective date columns. The first is the most recent history record for the checked out entity. The second is the "second most recent‟ history record. By default, only the most recent record is enabled for editing. The second most recent record is shown as a reference to you, so you can easily identify any recent changes to the entity. By default, it is displayed as inactive (grayed out) because it is not editable. However, editing older history is allowed once history has been enabled.
The Entity Details pane contains the following fields:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Field Group Name | Displays the name of the field group as defined for the policy that governs the entity. |
Field Name | Displays the name of the field. You can see various icons to the left of the field name defining the field status (if applicable).
|
Current Day Value | By default, displays the value as of the most recent effective date. |
Prior Day Value | By default, displays the value as of the second most recent effective date. |
Click the chevron on the top right part of the respective title bar to collapse the section.
