The ‘Fetch benchmark data but do not display Securities’ option has been added to the Performance Calculations report to support the ability to retrieve and optionally display positions that are held by the profile entity and it’s assigned benchmark.
If the option is enabled, then the report will retrieve all positions for the benchmark but only display and allow you to commit to those held by the profile entity and the benchmark. Additionally, all rollup and total level results will be based on all positions with this option enabled. This functionality is designed to support carve-out requirements for GIPS 2020.
If the option is disabled, then the fetch itself only considers positions held by both the profile entity and the assigned benchmark. Additionally, the
'Suppress benchmark data not held by profile portfolio
'has been added and enabled by default in order to preserve backward compatibility which displays and commits the positions held only by the profile entity.
