The Issuer field is considered a special field within the Reference Data Center. To enter free-form text, or select a value other than in the drop-down box, use the You can overwrite the issuer value by entering an Issuer ID directly into the New Value field, or by searching for a value from the Select Issuers dialog to populate the field.
To manage issuer fields in Reference Data Center:
In the Edit Securities window, right click on the Overwrite field.
You see the Overwrite dialog.

ellipses next to the drop-down.
You see the Select Issuers dialog.Enter part or all of the Issuer ID or Issuer Name in the space provided and then click Search.
