By default, you can filter the view according to policy, field, status, and expiration date range. You can also add additional search criteria fields to the filter option, as required. In summary, the Overrides window allows you to see all active and non-active overrides in a single window for a set of entities or a single entity, allowing users to effectively view and manage overrides as a whole.
View Data Overrides
You can view all the data overrides you have committed so far.
To view data overrides:
In Portfolio Data Center, from the left navigation, select Portfolio Desk and click the appropriate entity type.
You see the Summary workspace with the available list of entities.On the Home tab, in the Override group, click Data Overrides.
You see the Data Overrides window. By default, you see the list of overrides that satisfy the default filter options.In the filter section, to customize the search for overrides, you can modify the default options, as needed.
Click the Policy list to select one or more policies in which the data override fields are available, as needed.
Click the Field list to select one or more fields for which the data override is applied, as needed.
Click the Status list to select the status of the override itself. The status indicate the status of the data override. Options include:
- Active & Inactive. Lists both the active and inactive data overrides. If the data override lies in the specified time frame for validity at the time of the search, then it is in Active status. If the time frame for validity is ended, then the data override is in Inactive status.
- Active Only. Lists only the Active overrides. If the override's End Date is set to the most recent effective date, a future date, or no end date, the override is in Active status.
- Inactive Only. Lists only the Inactive overrides. These are overrides where the Expiration Date or End Date is prior to the current effective date.In the Expiration Date period, select the End Date time period for which you want to search the data overrides, if needed.
The End Date is the actual expiration date of the data override.Click Search.
You see the search returns a list of overrides that satisfy the filter criteria.In the search pane, select Save/Save as to save the filter criteria.
Click Clear All to clear the search.
Select Make this my default view check box to make the search view as your default.
Edit Data Overrides
You can view and edit the data overrides you have already committed, as long as the Expiration Date (or End Date) of the override is equal to or greater than today’s current effective date.
To edit data overrides:
In Portfolio Data Center, from the left navigation, select Portfolio Desk and click the appropriate entity type.
You see the Summary workspace with the available list of entities.On the Home tab, in the Override group, click Data Overrides.
You see the Data Overrides window. By default, you see the list of overrides that satisfy the default filter options.In the filter section, to customize the search for overrides, you can modify the default options, as needed.
Click Search.
You see the search returns a list of overrides that satisfy the filter criteria.Select the appropriate override from the list and click Edit Override.
Otherwise double-click the value you want to edit. You see the Edit dialog box.In the Current Value box, the system displays the current value of the field.
Type the appropriate new value for the field in the New Value box.
Select the Make this Null check box to null out the field, if required.
The system displays the Type that the Override was initially committed as, ‘Override’ or ‘Default’.
You cannot modify the override type.Specify the Start Date for the override.
The Start date indicates the first effective date of the edit modification. You can modify the start date to any previous existing history date within that entity. If the selected date is not present in the entity’s history, a ‘duplication of history’ record action is needed. See Create History Records in Manage History Records for more details.Specify the End Date for the override.
The End Date indicates the latest effective date of the edit modification. If the End Date is for the latest effective date, then the override data is automatically carry forwarded when the next history date is created. This process continues until such time where another override is created.
You can provide an End Date for a future effective date also. This sets a specific expiration date, for a specific date range, on the override value. Once the End Date of the override passes, then the next time when a new latest history date is created, the system reverts back to any Policy specific configured overrides, if any, and apply to the incoming data value as indicated.Select No End Date check box to perform a permanent override.
Click the Reason Code list to select the type of reason for the override. Options include:
- File based override
- Incorrect file
- Incorrect manual entry
- Manager request

NOTE: Reason Codes are essentially Code Values within Eagle and you can configure it according to user preferences.
Specify comments for the override, if any.
Click Save to save the changes.
Click View & submit changes to submit the modified details.
You see the Change Summary dialog which allows you to review all activity before submitting the change request to the PDC engine.Click Cancel to cancel the changes.
