In User Administration, you can use the Import Users functionality to import NT (Windows platform) and/or LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) domain users into an environment that allows such import.

The Import Users feature was enhanced with the ability to import additional contact information from AD/LDAP When importing from LDAP, you can select to import additional contact information such as Company, Full Name, and E-mail.

check boxes are selected in the

General tab of the Maintenance dialog box

LDAP settings window in User Administration Setup. If none of these boxes are checked, the Import Users functionality will not be available in the environment.

To import users:

  1. In User Administration, click Users in the left navigation.
    You see a list of all the available users.

  2. Click Create New and select Import Users.

    For example, select Import from NT and click the Domain drop down to select the domain. Click Next.
