The following are the options for View/Download:

  • Calculation Results. Opens the underlying performance calculation report results for auditing and maintenance of all entities associated with that report.

  • Calculation Results For This Entity. Opens the underlying performance calculation data for auditing and maintenance for only that entity in the row.

To view/download results for all entities in a view:

  1. From the Performance Center window, click the Performance Desk and click Commit Journal in the left navigation.
    You see the Commit Journal workspace displaying a list of available views in the right navigation.

  2. Select a view and click Submit View on the ribbon. Or, double click the view.
    You see the selected view in the workspace.

  3. Click the View/Download icon on the ribbon and then select Calculation Results.
    You see the underlying performance calculation results in a new workspace with Report and Diagnostics tabs. When you drill down to the security level, additional tabs appear for

  5. You can print, export to Excel, or email the results by clicking the appropriate icon on the ribbon.

Show Entity Information

You can view detailed information about entities in the Portfolio Data Center.

You must have permission to access the Portfolio Data Center.

  1. Follow the procedure to view/download results.
  2. Select a specific entity.
  3. Click the Results tab and then Show Entity Information.
    The Portfolio Data Center launches and you see the details for the entity.

You can view the Application Server log of operations recorded for your current session.

To view the application server log:

  1. From the Performance Center window, click the Performance Desk and click Commit Journal in the left navigation.
    You see the Commit Journal workspace displaying a list of available views in the right navigation.
  2. Select a view and click Submit View on the ribbon. Or, double click the view.
    You see the selected view in the workspace.
  3. Click the Appserver Log icon on the ribbon.
    You see the PACE Application Server Log dialog box displaying application server details and file contents.
  4. Click View Complete File to see the entire contents of the file.
    You see the file open in a Notepad window which allows you to save or print the file.

You can edit or scrub underlying data if you have the appropriate privileges to perform data maintenance.

Note

When you edit performance returns a new or replacement record is inserted into the database, but the original source data is not changed. The scrubbed record is an image of the original and is tagged with a different source interface instance. If you enter a new value for a performance return, you must run the Client Side Commit process to save the new value. For more information, see Client Side Commit.

The Client Side Commit process allows you to manually commit changed performance calculation results to the database.

To manually commit results:

  1. From the Performance Center window, click the Performance Desk and click Commit Journal in the left navigation.
    You see the Commit Journal workspace displaying a list of available views in the right navigation.
  2. Select a view and click Submit View on the ribbon. Or, double click the view.
    You see the selected view in the workspace.
  3. Click View/Download on the ribbon and then select Calculation Results or Calculation Results for This Entity.
    You see the underlying performance calculation results.
  4. Edit underlying data as needed. See "Edit Performance Returns."
  5. Click Client Side Commit on the ribbon. Or, right click and select Client Side Commit.
    You see the Commit Options dialog box.
  6. Select one or more Entities by using the Entity Selector.
  7. Select whether you wish to calculate to-date returns, Yes or No.
  8. If you selected Yes, specify the returns you wish to commit.
    Options include:
    –  Year End
    –  Quarter End\
    –  Month End
    –  Use the Business Calendar
  9. Select Additional Options as necessary.
  10. Select the Commit Source.
  11. Click Publish.
  12. You see a message confirming the action.

After you make changes or additions to Performance returns, you must resubmit the Performance Calculation report in order for the scrubbed records to be picked up.

To resubmit a performance calculation:

  1. After editing a return, select the row you want to resubmit.
  2. Select Resubmit Performance Calculation on the ribbon and then select it again from the menu. 
    You see a message confirming that the report was submitted successfully.

The Submit Calculation with Override option allows you to resubmit performance calculation data with different parameters without first needing to download return results. You can enter values that temporarily override the options associated with the report profile and its assigned report rule. You can select dates and entities, report rule, field rule, benchmarks, and commit options.

Note

The fields on the Submit with Override dialog box are optional. You only need to change those fields that are appropriate.

To resubmit with override:

  1. a new workspace with Report and Diagnostics tabs. When you drill down to the security level, additional tabs appear for Cash Activity, Price, Analytics, Position Cross Reference, Security Cross Reference, Performance, Ratings, and Details.

  2. Select a specific entity.

  3. Click the Results tab and then select Show Entity Information.
    The Portfolio Data Center opens in a new workspace where you see the details for the entity.
