You can insert or delete manual adjustments for a cash projection.

Insert Manual Adjustments

In the Cash Projections Viewer workspace, you can insert a manual adjustment for a cash projection. This allows you to record that a future deposit or withdrawal will occur at some point during the projection time frame. 

Note

Be aware that when you recalculate a projection, you delete all manual adjustments for that projection.

To insert a manual adjustment for a cash projection:

  1. In Accounting Center, in the

...

  1. left navigation pane, click Reports > Cash Projections Viewer.
    You see the Cash Projections Viewer workspace. 

  2. In the Search Details pane, search for the cash projection you want to adjust. 

  3. In the grid, click the cash projection.

  4. Click the Projection Summary tab or the Projection Detail tab, and then click the row you want to adjust.

  5. On the Cash Projections Viewer tab, in the General group, click Insert Manual Adjustment.
    You see the Manual Adjustment window.

  6. Complete the options in the window. 

  7. Click Submit. 
    You see a row for the adjustment in the Projection Summary tab or the Projection Detail tab that you selected. The entry has a Balance Type of Adjustment.

Manual Adjustment Window Options

In the Manual Adjustment window, you can insert a manual adjustment for a cash projection. The options may vary according to your selections.

Projection Info


Report Name

Displays the report name of the selected cash projection. This is the report name specified when you create a projection.

Account or Portfolio Identifier

Displays the unique account identifier of the entity associated with the selected cash projection.

Start Date

Displays the first date of the selected cash projection.

End Date

Displays the last date of the selected cash projection.

Balance Type

Displays a balance type of Adjustment.

Adjustment Params


Currency

Specifies the currency associated with the manual adjustment. 

Effective Date

Specifies the effective date of the manual adjustment.

Cash Receipt

Specifies the amount of the adjustment for the selected cash receipt. Otherwise, you can click the Cash Receipt arrow to display the Cash Disbursement field in its place.

Cash Disbursement

Specifies the amount of the adjustment for the selected cash disbursement.

Primary Asset ID

Specifies the primary asset identifier for the security.

Asset ID

Specifies the identification number of the primary asset ID type for the security.

Transaction Type

Indicates the type of transaction you are inserting for the manual adjustment. For example, ADJUSTMENT.

User Comment

Allows you to enter a comment about the manual adjustment you are inserting.

Delete Manual Adjustments

In the Cash Projections Viewer workspace, you can delete a manual adjustment for a cash projection that you originally created using the Insert Manual Adjustment option. 

To delete a manual adjustment for a cash projection:

  1. In Accounting Center, in the left navigation pane, click Reports > Cash Projections Viewer.
    You see the Cash Projections Viewer workspace. 

  2. In the Search Details pane, search for the cash projection with a manual adjustment that you want to delete. 

  3. In the grid, click the cash projection.

  4. Click the Projection Summary tab or the Projection Detail tab, and then click the row for the manual adjustment that you want to delete.

  5. On the Cash Projections Viewer tab, in the General group, click Delete Manual Adjustment.
    You no longer see the row for the manual adjustment.
