Tip

You can establish a standardized IN261-compliant encryption method for database connections in one central location for all Eagle components. This feature is helpful when data has to be copied from a production database to a test database for testing and troubleshooting. You can generate audit reports for IN261 compliancewith Eagle's system queries.

To configure database connections:

  1. In System Management Center, click System Settings in the left navigation and then click Database Connections.
    You see the Database Connections workspace.

  2. To edit an existing connection, right click the connection row and select Edit.

  3. In the Edit DB Connection dialog box, make the appropriate changes, click Test connection to check the connection, and click Save.

  4. To add a new database connection, right click anywhere in the workspace and select New.

  5. In the New DB Connection dialog box, complete the appropriate fields, click Test connection to check the connection, and click Save.

  6. To delete a connection, right click the connection row and select Delete.

  7. To modify server access information, click the Credentials tab.
    You see a list of available servers.

  8. To modify login information for a server, right click your selection and click Edit.

  9. You are prompted to assign a password to the server. Once completed, click Save.

  10. To create a new server, right click anywhere and click New. Enter the database name, username, type, and password credentials and click Save.

  11. To delete a server, right click on your selection and click Delete.

  12. To close the workspace, click the X in the Database Connections bottom tab.
