In RDC Prices, the workspace is the area where data is displayed and edited. A workspace has an associated ribbon with action buttons that allow you to view and manage data. RDC Prices supports the following top-level workspaces:
The Pricesworkspace is used to monitor the daily cycle for accuracy and completeness with security prices.
Pricing Analysts typically use the Prices workspace to perform the following:
Reviewing prices
Reviewing validations
Overriding prices
Releasing validation breaks
If needed - rolling back prices, locking prices, pushing prices to Gold Copy, auditing manual transactions, adding Gold Copy Prices

, and duplicating prices from prior day to current day.
Pricing Supervisors typically use the Prices workspace to perform the following:
Reviewing status of price scrubbing
Releasing Exceptions
Authorizing prices needing a second level approval

Overview of the Prices Workspace
The Prices workspace has three main sections where you can view and manage Prices data: Summary, View, and Details.

The Summary section
The Summary section of the workspace allows you to search for prices and exceptions. You can search by the following options:
View Data By: Required. Allows you to search for Gold Copy Prices.

Error Code: Displays the error code.
The View section
The next middle section of the Prices workspace displays the different exceptions associated with the selected gold copy or vendor. Options here results of your query. The fields that display vary depending on whether you searched by prices or exceptions.
The Details section
The Details section displays details on exceptions, vendor data and gold copy data. The tabs in the details section and their fields are described below:
The Exceptions tab
Here you can view exception details. Options on the Exceptions tab include:
Code: Displays the exception error code.
Severity: Indicates whether the exception is a warning or critical.
Field: Displays the severity level name of the field in the exception. Options include: Warning and Critical.error.
Error: Describes the exception error.
Business Description: Describes what caused the error.
Resolution: Explains how to resolve the error.
Source: Displays the vendor source of the datafield in error.
Primary Exchange: Displays Specifies the primary exchange .The Details section displays details on exceptions, vendor data and gold copy datalocation.
Additional Details: Describes in detail, any additional information about the error.
The Vendor Data tab
Here you can view vendor data details. Options on the Vendor Data tab include:
Source: Displays the vendor source.
Current Value: Displays the current value of the security.
Previous Value: Indicates the previous price.
Hierarchy Level: Displays the vendor hierarchy.
Price Status: Indicates the price status.
Percentage Change: Displays the difference in value from the previous price to the current price.
Price Condition: Displays the price condition.
The Gold Copy Data tab
Here you can view gold copy data details. Options on the Gold Copy Data tab include:
Primary Asset ID: Specifies the issue name of the security.
Vendor Source: Specifies the vendor source.
Issue Name: Specifies the issue name of the security.
Current Price: Displays the current price of the security.
Gold Copy Status: Displays the status of the gold copy.
Price Status: Indicates the price status.
Price Type: Specifies the price type.
Target Source: Specifies the target source.
Previous Price: Indicates the previous price.
Vendor Price Type: Displays the vendor price type.
Data Strategy: Specifies the data strategy that governs the security.
Override: Indicates if the security has been overridden.
