Summary screen in the Prices workspace is the main work area in Reference Data Center for managing prices. From the workspace you can review and edit gold copy and vendor data, add new gold copy prices, and override and release exceptions.
When you first select the Prices summary view, there are a number of possible views that can be selected. The first elections are Date Type, Source, and the View Data By designation.
Date Type. Defaults to Effective Date. This is the effective date of the records that will be viewed.

Filters
Filter fields available are controlled by RDC system setting 1038 (Client: Fields to display in pricing summary screen (view by vendor)) and RDC system setting 1037 (Client: Fields to display in pricing summary screen (view by gold copy). Any fields from the SECURITYDBO schema can be added to the default fields in this setting to assist with targeting specific data sets. You can then elect which of these filter fields to display using the green plus sign to the right of the filter fields. The filter fields and pre-set values for each can be saved for an individual’s profile for queries the person will use often.

In addition to the default Vendor Prices, you can view data by Vendor Exception, Gold Copy Prices, and Exceptions.
Vendor Exception View
This view displays vendor exceptions from the RULESDBO.PRICE_VALIDATION_STATUS_DETAIL table. This is the table where validation results and details are stored after validation tests are applied by a validation rule. When you highlight a record, the lower pane populates with the price records that this exception applies to.
Gold Summary View
This view displays vendor level records from the RULESDBO.PRICE_RULE_SECURITIES table. This is the table where gold level prices are managed, scrubbed, and displayed from. When you highlight a record, the lower pane views populate with a list of exceptions for that gold record and a list of vendor sources associated with the record. By default the exception tab displays in this view.
Gold Exception View
This view displays vendor exceptions from the RULESDBO.PRICE_VALIDATION_STATUS_DETAIL table. View Pricing Summary Data
You can view Pricing Summary data in the Summary screen in the Prices workspace.
To view Pricing summary data:
In the Reference Desk workspace, click Prices.
You see the Prices workspace.The Date field defaults to Effective date.
The Vendor field defaults to All Sources.
Select to View Data by. The default is Vendor Prices but other valid options include: Vendor Exception, Gold Copy Prices, and Exceptions
