The Errors workspace has the ability to add titleContent on this page:

In the PDC Errors workspace, you can create, view, and edit the error codes used for field validation. It also allows you to define error codes and messages in other languages.

The Errors workspace allows you to create customized text for error codes to make it easier for business users to understand the problem, instead of having to interpret an error code. An error is a simple collection of 3 strings, which is eventually attached to a validation rule. When a validation is triggered, the text in the error message is displayed.

For example, you can define the Inception date missing error , might be defined as, Inception date cannot be NULL and be attached to the Inception date validation, which in-turn is attached to the Inception date field. So when if you create an entity/fund is set up and the Inception date field is left as blank, then the inception date validation will be is triggered and you will see the Inception date error message in the user interface.

An error can be defined as either critical or warning.

  • Critical:

    Triggers a validation/

It triggers an exception and does not pass the

    Field

field's release level status until it is resolved.

  • Warning:

    Triggers

    It triggers a soft

    validation/

exception but does NOT affect the

    Field

field's release level status and moves on to the next authorization level

In the Errors workspace you can add, view, and edit the error codes used by Portfolio Data Center for field validation
  • .

It also allows you to define error codes and messages in different languages.
