The Anticipated Dividends report allows you to project dividend income that will be earned by a fund will earn up until the distribution date or to another date set in the future. Many mutual funds distribute the income earned by the fund. This report assists you with reviewing the projected total income distribution of the mutual fund. Many mutual funds distribute the income earned by the fund. Prior to the distribution occurring, there is a review of  Before a distribution occurs, you can use the report to review the income that has been and will be earned by the fund. The Anticipated Dividends report displays both announced dividends and projected dividends. These The projected dividends are based on both the historical announcements and on the dividend frequency specified in the SMF. 

To create the Anticipated Dividends report:

  1. In Accounting Center, in the left navigation pane, click Reports Investment Accounting Reports Income >

...

  1.  Anticipated Dividends Report. 

  2. Complete the options on the Anticipated Dividends Report panel.

  3. Under Result Options, click Grid or Advanced Report for the report view you want.

  4. Click Submit.
    The report results appear on your desktop for the view selected.

Anticipated Dividends Report Panel Options

A definition of the options on the Anticipated Dividends Report panel follows.

Option

Description

Search Criteria

Entity ID

Specifies a portfolio, sector portfolio, composite portfolio, or Master Fund by the entity ID of the entity.

Entity Name

Specifies a portfolio, sector portfolio, composite portfolio, or Master Fund by name of the entity.

Accounting Basis

Specifies the entity accounting basis for which you are reporting cash dividends. For example, USTAX, GAAP, or IFRS.

Select View

Allows you to select the entity view for your report results. This field appears if you select a master fund. Options include:

  • Sector.

  • Total Fund. Default.

Report Type

Specifies the type of date for controlling your report results. Options include:

  • Accounting Date

(Default)
  • . Default. The report selects current position records based on daily accounting date.

  • Month End Date. The report selects current position records based on monthly accounting dates. 

Report Start Date

Specifies

Displays the start date for your report results

. To use this option, you must select Date Range as your report period

. The start date is equal to the current date. The report identifies cash dividends on a go-forward basis.

Report End Date

Specifies the ending date for

your report results

  • Include. The report includes

ROC announcements. The report displays ROC records as rows in the results. 
  • current day corporate actions. The results include positions where the ex-date is equal to the start date.

  • Exclude. Default. The report excludes

ROC announcements. Cash Based Dividend Income Recognition ReportingIndicates whether the report output reflects cash dividends that recognize dividend income on a cash settlement basis rather than on an ex-date basis. For more information, see Recognize Dividend Income on a Cash Settlement Basis
  • current day corporate actions. The results show corporate actions starting where the ex-date is equal to the start date plus one.

Report View

Allows you to select report results based on the corporate action status. Options include:

Report Dividends When Due
  • All. Default. The report

output displays all cash dividend entitlement events since its effective date.Do Not Report Dividends When Due. The report does not display any cash dividend entitlement events where you recognize the dividends on settlement date
  • includes all dividends. 

  • Pending. The report includes pending dividends.

  • Projected. The report includes projected dividends.

  • Released. The report includes released dividends.

Portfolio Currency

Identifies the base currency. When you select an entity, this value appears, but you can change it.

Selection Criteria

Report Filters

Allows you to show/hide additional report and security filters. The default is No.

Advanced Report Options

Allows you to show/hide advanced report, group, sort, and format options. The default is No.

Filter Security By

Allows you to show/hide additional report filters. Options include:

  • Security Cross Reference (Default). If you select this option the panel unhides the Xref Type and Xref Security ID fields for data entry.

  • Issue Name. If you select this option, the panel unhides the Issue Name field for data entry.

  • Primary Asset ID. If you select this option, the panel unhides the Primary Asset ID field for data entry.

You can filter results using other filters. Options include:

  • Asset Currency

  • Long Short

Transaction
  • Event Type

  • Cash Event Type

  • Investment Type

  • Security Type

  • Processing Security Type
