About Security Data

The Security Master option on the User Settings Explorer window allows you to define:

  • Security Lookup Filters

  • Security Detail Fields

  • Security History Sources

Add a Security Lookup Filter

Security lookup filters allow you to query specific security data when performing a Security Cross Reference query in the Eagle Portal.

To add a security lookup filter:

From any Eagle window, click the Eagle Navigator button to access the Eagle Navigator.

Enter Portal Administration in the Start Search text box.

Click the Portal Administration (Reporting Center) link to access Portal Administration.

You see the Portal Administration window.

Click Yes in the Do you see the Eagle logo here? dialog box.

You see the Portal Query Explorer window as the default.

Click the Portal Query Explorer drop down menu and select User Settings Explorer.

You see the User Settings Explorer window.

Under Security Master, click Security Lookup Filters.

In Current cross reference fields filter, click the ellipsis on a blank row.

You see the Field Selector dialog box.

Show me all fields. Displays all fields.

Show me fields available to current user. Display fields only available to the current user.

Displays a list of databases (for example, Analytics, Asset Policy, Cash), from which you can select fields. Click the database and select the fields.

Layout Icon

Displays the Layout dialog box, which allows you to select and reorder columns. Use this option to determine the content and organization of the fields in the Security Cross Reference Report.

Displays the Usage dialog box, which displays the following attributes for a selected field:

Component owner’s name

Component owner’s user name

Component owner’s business group

Displays the View Field dialog box, which displays details of a specific field, including the following information from the data field entity relationship diagram (ERD):

This functionality is the same as the New icon with read‑only fields.

New Icon

Displays the New Regular Field dialog box, which allows you to configure a new field for display on the Security Details window.

For information on how to configure a new field, refer to the Reporting Reference Guide.

Edit Icon

Displays the Editing Field dialog box, which allows you to modify fields on the Security Details window.

Copy Icon

Displays the Copy dialog box, which allows you to copy a selected field. To copy a field, select the field, enter a new name, and click OK.

Delete Icon

Displays the Delete Field pop-up window, which allows you to delete the selected field.

Find Icon

Displays the Find pop-up window. To locate specific data fields, select the field characteristic by which to search and enter a value in the Find What field.

Customize

Displays the Customize Field Grouping dialog box, which allows you to set up a hierarchy of groupings in the Security Details window. You can nest up to four layers of groupings in the following categories, based on the ERD source of the field:

Click Save.

To delete a security lookup filter, In Current cross reference filter fields, select the security lookup filter.

Click the delete (X) icon in the same row.

The selected filter is deleted.

Click Save.

Manage Security Detail Fields

Security detail fields display security details information in the Eagle Portal.

From any Eagle window, click the Eagle Navigator button to access the Eagle Navigator.

Enter Portal Administration in the Start Search text box.

Click the Portal Administration (Reporting Center) link to access Portal Administration.

You see the Portal Administration window.

Click Yes in the Do you see the Eagle logo here? dialog box.

You see the Portal Query Explorer window as the default.

Click the Portal Query Explorer drop down menu and select User Settings Explorer.

You see the User Settings Explorer window.

Under Security Master, click Security Detail Fields.

In a blank field, click the ellipsis.

You see the Field Selector dialog box

Double click a field.

Click Save.

To delete a security detail field, in Security Details Fields, select the details field you want to delete.

Click the Delete icon (X) in the same row.

The selected field is deleted.

Click Save.

The security detail field is removed from the Security Details window in the Eagle Portal.

Define a Security History Source

To define a security history source:

From any Eagle window, click the Eagle Navigator button to access the Eagle Navigator.

Enter Portal Administration in the Start Search text box.

Click the Portal Administration (Reporting Center) link to access Portal Administration.

You see the Portal Administration window.

Click Yes in the Do you see the Eagle logo here? dialog box.

You see the Portal Query Explorer window as the default.

Click the Portal Query Explorer drop down menu and select User Settings Explorer.

You see the User Settings Explorer window.

Under Security Master, click Security History Source.

In SMF Source Rules, click the check box to select a source rule for security history data. You can select only one source.

Click Save.
