A dialog box appears with Entity, Source, Model, Model Node, and Weight fields. See Editing Entity Dialog Box Options.

Field

Description

Entity

The Entity Selector allows you to specify the source entity to assign to the selected target dictionary node. After you save your changes, this value appears in the Source Entity column of the target dictionary grid. In addition, the Base Currency for the Source Entity displays in the target dictionary grid.

Source

The source used to store the source entity in the PERFORM database for the node. After you save your changes, this value appears in the Source column of the target dictionary grid.

Model

The Performance Model.

Model Node

The Dictionary node. By default the system uses the Total level. You can assign nodes below the Total level by double-clicking “Total.”

Weight

The desired target weight of the node for the custom blended benchmark you are creating.

When you define a blended benchmark, the target weights typically add up to 100%. However, you can define weights that do not total 100%. This can apply to derivative products and their respective custom benchmarks, and carve outs for analysis purposes.

  1. Select values from the Entity, Source, and Model drop-down lists.
  2. Select or clear one of the check boxes, as needed.
