In Data Quality Monitor, you can also assign exceptions by creating and applying an Assignment Rule. Applying an Assignment Rule ensures that the assignments will be made automatically in the event of a submission of the a Performance Calculation or Automation Center event.
To create an assignment rule:
- In the From Performance Desk in Performance Center, click Setup > Validation Rules or Data Quality Rules workspace, click > Assignment Rules on the ribbon.
- Click Create New on the ribbon to create a new rule.
You see the Create New Rule dialog box. - Select the Rule Name, Comments, Rule Type, and Rules.
- Select Enabled to activate the Rule.
- Select User or Business Group as the Assignment Type. If you chose Group, then make a selection from the Assign to Users/Business Group drop-down list.
- Click Build Logic in Rules Conditions to create a rule based on Entity fields.
You see the Logic Builder. - Create the rule, click Save & Close, and then click Save.

- Allow Edit. Enable/Disable the ability for a user to edit assignment rule(s).
- Allow Delete. Enable/Disable the ability for a user to delete assignment rule(s).
