In the Manage Period Close Rule panel, you can change one or more period close rules. Changing period close rules allows you to exclude define the event types that Eagle includes or excludes when it assigns accounting dates according to the accounting period rule specified for the entity. By default, Eagle includes all events types by default for each available Message Type/Message Subtype grouping,

You do not need to add your own period close rules. You can change the period close rules only by excluding specific period close rules that Eagle Accounting includes by defaultin order to include or exclude specific types of processing activity.
