The Overrides panel window displays the overrides that are currently in effect for an entity (including the name of the field to which an override has been is applied, the current override value, and the expiration date). When you launch the Data Overrides icon from the PDC Summary screen, the system returns all entities that meet the search criteria. You can also launch the Overrides window within a specific entity, in which case the system returns overrides of that entity alone.
By default, you can filter the view according to policy, field, status, and expiration date . From this panel, you can change the override value and the expiration date.

In summary, the Overrides window allows you to see all active and non-active overrides in a single window for a set of entities or a single entity, allowing users to effectively view and manage overrides as a whole.
View Data Overrides
You can view and edit all the data overrides you have committed so far.
To view data overrides:
- In Portfolio Data Center, from the left navigation, select Portfolio Desk workspace, navigate to and click the appropriate entity .Click Data Overrides on the ribbon.
The Data Overrides dialog box opens, displaying type.
You see the Summary workspace with the available list of entities. - On the Home tab, in the Override group, click Data Overrides.
You see the Data Overrides window. By default, you see the list of overrides that satisfy the default filter options. - (Optional) In the filter section, to customize the search for overrides, you can modify the default options, as needed.
- Click the Policy list to select one or more policies in which the data override fields are available, as needed.
- Click the Field list to select one or more fields for which the data override is applied, as needed.
- Click the Status list to select the status of the override itself. The status indicate the status of the data override. Options include:
- Active & Inactive. Lists both the active and inactive data overrides. If the data override lies in the specified time frame for validity at the time of the search, then it is in Active status. If the time frame for validity is ended, then the data override is in Inactive status.
- Active Only. Lists only the Active overrides. If the override's End Date is set to the most recent effective date, a future date, or no end date, the override is in Active status.
- Inactive Only. Lists only the Inactive overrides. These are overrides where the Expiration Date or End Date is prior to the current effective date. - In the Expiration Date period, select the End Date time period for which you want to search the data overrides, if needed.
The End Date is the actual expiration date of the data override. - Click Search.
The You see the search returns a list of overrides that satisfy the changed filter options.Select an override in the list and double-click itfilter criteria. - In the search pane, select Save/Save as to save the filter criteria.
- Click Clear All to clear the search.
- Select Make this my default view check box to make the search view as your default.
Edit Data Overrides
You can view and edit the data overrides you have already committed, as long as the Expiration Date (or End Date) of the override is equal to or greater than today’s current effective date.
To edit data overrides:
- In Portfolio Data Center, from the left navigation, select Portfolio Desk workspace, navigate to and click the appropriate entity type.
Click Data Overrides on the ribbon.
The Data Overrides dialog box opens, displaying You see the Summary workspace with the available list of entities. - On the Home tab, in the Override group, click Data Overrides.
You see the Data Overrides window. By default, you see the list of overrides that satisfy the default filter options. - (Optional) In the filter section, to customize the search for overrides, you can modify the default options, as needed.
- Click Search.
The You see the search returns a list of overrides that satisfy the changed filter optionscriteria. - Select an the appropriate override in from the list and then click Edit Data Override.
The Edit Data Override Otherwise double-click the value you want to edit. You see the Edit dialog box opens.Revise - the override as required and then click OK.
The In the Current Value box, the system displays the refreshed list of data overrides with the change applied.Info You can change the value in the Override Value and Expiration Date columns.
- Right-click the value you want to edit and then click Edit Override. Or, double-click the value you want to edit.
The Edit dialog box opens. - Click Save and then click View Change Summary to review the changes.
- To override the field, click Submit Changes. To return to the previous window, click Cancelcurrent value of the field.
- Type the appropriate new value for the field in the New Value box.
- Select the Make this Null check box to null out the field, if required.
- The system displays the Type that the Override was initially committed as, ‘Override’ or ‘Default’.
You cannot modify the override type. - Specify the Start and End date for the override.
You see the override is applied for the specified effective date range period only. - Select No End Date check box to perform a permanent override.
- Click the Reason Code list to select the type of reason for the override. Core Options include:
- File based override
- Incorrect file
- Incorrect manual entry
- Manage request
Note: Reason Codes are essentially Code Values within Eagle and you can configure it according to user preferences. - Specify comments for the override, if any.
- Click Save to save the changes.
- Click View & submit changes to submit the modified details.
You see the Change Summary dialog which allows you to review all activity before submitting the change request to the PDC engine. - Click Cancel to cancel the changes.
Complete the following options in the Edit dialog box as needed, and then click Save.
Current Value
Displays the current value of the field in the Override Value column.
New Value
Enables you to specify a new value for the field.
Edit Type
Displays an override value, which is used to populate a field regardless of whether a source system value exists.
Expires After
Enables you to specify a new expiration date.
Reason Code
Enables you to specify a reason for the override.
Comment
Enables you to enter comments.
Update Date
Displays the update date.
Update User
Displays the name of the user.
