To attach a document or comment to a securities price:

  1. In Portfolio Data Center the Reference Desk workspace, click Portfolio Desk in the left navigation, click Price.
    The entity workspace opens, displaying the available entities (depending on any default filters that are in effect).Search for your entity. Use a saved search or specify the relevant filter criteria and then click Search.
    The system displays You see the Prices workspace with all the available securities.
  2. Click the View By drop down and select Security.
  3. Complete the required search criteria and click the Search button.
    You see the search results based on the criteria you selected.
  4. Select the entity the record you want to attach a document or comment to and then click the Attach/Comment icon in the ribbon.
    The You see the Add Attach/Comment dialog box opens, displaying the list of comments and attachments in effect for the entity. To review a document, double-click a document name to open the document.
  5. Click Add New.
    The Add New dialog box opens.
  6. (Optional) Type a comment in the Comment box.
  7. (Optional) Click Browse to locate and select a document to attach to the entity.
  8. (Optional) Use the date selectors to indicate a Start Date and End Date for how long the comment or document will remain attached to the entity. To make an attachment indefinite, click the Do not expire check box.
  9. Click Save.
    The Add New dialog box closes, and the Attach/Comment dialog box displays the attachment. It also shows the Start Date and End Date for the attachment, as well as who last modified the attachment and when.
  10. Click Save.
  11. The workspace indicates the entity has an attachment by displaying a paper clip image in the Attachment (paper clip) column. If all attachments have expired (have an end date earlier than the current date), the system does not display paper clip indicator..
  12. To enter a comment, type your comment in the space provided.
  13. To attach a file, click browse and select the file to attach.
  14. Select the Data Type from the drop-down list.
  15. Enter a Start Date and an End Date using the Calendar controls.
  16. Click Save.


To delete a document or comment from a price:

  1. In the Reference Desk workspace, in the left navigation, click Price.
    You see the Prices workspace with all the available securities.
  2. Click the View By drop down and select Security.
  3. Complete the required search criteria and click the Search button.
    You see the search results based on the criteria you selected.
  4. Select the record you want to delete a document or comment from and click the View all Attachments/Comments icon in the ribbon.
    You see the Attach/Comment dialog box with the list of comments and attachments currently in effect for the security or exception.
  5. Click the X button to the right of the listed comment/document.
    You see the Reference Data Center dialog box asking you to confirm the delete.
  6. Click Yes.
  7. Click Save.
